The Castro Valley and Eden Area Chamber of Commerce announced the names of 35 outstanding students who received its Student-Citizen of the Year award. The annual event recognizes outstanding students’ contributions to their schools and communities.
José Sanchez was the recipient for San Lorenzo High School.
Each award winner demonstrated qualities in two categories: School and Community. Extra-curricular activities such as clubs, athletics, music, library helpers, and student council are factored into the “School” category.
